23 Fish species have been identified, fresh an water and saltwater combined. The Tournament will run from 1 March 2021 - 31 January 2021. This gives everyone enough time to plan the year and to get on the water.

Entries are available to members on Inland Jetski Group on Facebook or Whatsapp residing outside of any coastal provinces.
Your entry fee includes a UV protective moisture management branded fishing shirt as well as a stick-on ruler, Spanjaard goodies and a R 100 of each entry will be donated to the NSRI

COMPETITION RULES

  1. ALL fish must be caught off of a Jetski that is in the water. The Jetski must be floating, anchoring is allowed.
  2. You have to be a member of the Inland Jetski Whatsapp group or Facebook group.
  3. Entries are only accepted by completing the pdf entry form and signing the  of the indemnity form.
  4. All photos to be submitted on the Lowrance Inland Grandslam Tournament group.
  5. Timestamp Camera app should be used to capture a photo with a timestamp and location. The links will be provided on the whatsapp group.
  6. Photo should show measurement as wel as lure/rig used to catch the fish and should be taken on the jetski while floating on the water.
  7. No boats, kayaks or any other form of fishing vessel allowed. ONLY JETSKIS.
  8. Fishing allowed anywhere on the African continent and coastal waters.
  9. Only anglers living in non-coastal provinces are allowed to enter.
  10. Billfish cash prize will be a 10% of the entry fees or a minimum of R1 500.
  11. Additional sponsors can be added during any time of the tournament.

SCORING SYSTEM

  1. You will receive 20 points for the the first species, thereafter 20 points x the number of the species. That means if it is your second species it will be 2 x 20 points.
  2. You are allowed to enter 1 fish per species. This can be substituted with a bigger size of that species at any point during the competition period.
  3. You will score 20 points per centimeter of the fish’s length. This is measured from the nose to the start of the ‘V’ of the tail fin.
  4. The following species are see as wildcards and score additional points: –  Billfish (Sailfish, Marlin) – 450 points. – Tiger fish, GT above 70 cm – 250 points.
  5. You can score additional points for using a non-traditional method to catch any of the  below species. 50 points will be scored for using non-traditional methods and 25 points for the conventional fishing method.
  6. Wildcard species successfully released will score 100 additional points. These species are billfish, GT above 70cm, and tiger fish.
  7. Should you catch a species again you will be awarded extra points for length if the new length is more than the previous fish of that species.
  8. You can also gain 25 points if the previous fish was caught on a traditional method and your new bigger fish of that species is caught with a non-traditional method.
